BRANCH PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Last month’s “Teacher Matinee” was a real treat! Our talented teachers outdid themselves again with awe-inspiring performances on flute and piano. Our appreciation to Kary Kramer, Niccole & Brent Modell, and Noelle Compinsky-Tinturin for a wonderful program, and to Fern Fay and Caitlin Boruch for making it happen.

The Branch Honors Recital was a great way to celebrate and honor those students who received one of the top 60 scores (out of 186) in Certificate of Merit this year. A big thank you to Caitlin Boruch for coordinating this event.

If anyone is interested in serving on the 2018-2020 Board or assisting a program chair, please let me know. Nominations for board members will be announced at the April meeting and voting will take place in May. Thank you to Beverly, Fern, and Karen for serving on the Nominating Committee.

You and your students can also help support our Branch by participating in our Restaurant Days Fundraising Programs at Chipotle the day of the Bach Festival. Look for details below! Thank you, Nadia for organizing this for us. Please help spread the word – Don’t forget to Like and Share on our FaceBook Page. ~Nicole

ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL NEWS from Celine

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISING NEWS from the Scholarship Committee

Music To Your Mouth:  On the same day as Bach Festival, we will be having another great fundraising opportunity!  Our last one (at BJ's Restaurant) brought in fliers from two students and two teachers.  Please help us to make this fundraiser a success by printing the fliers and sharing the info with your friends, family, and most importantly your students (especially those playing in Bach Festival that day!)  This time we will be holding our fundraiser at Chipotle, which is giving us a VERY generous portion of the sales at 50%!  In “queso” you forgot, the money raised goes to help support our Scholarship Fund.  Guac-on, and have a “burritoful” day!
