About Us

The Pleasant Valley-Ventura County Branch, an affiliate of the Music Teachers' Association of California, is a dynamic organization of music teachers who operate independently and work collectively.  To qualify for membership, teachers must have a college degree in music (or the equivalent).  This ensures professional status.

Students benefit from studying with teachers who continually increase their knowledge through collaboration with one another.  As members of this group, teachers are able to provide unique opportunities for their students such as participation in Branch Studio Recitals, Branch sponsored adjudicated Festivals, and State sponsored programs such as the Certificate of Merit™ evaluation program and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival.

The Pleasant Valley-Ventura County Branch is proud to own and maintain a pristine Bösendorfer Model 225 piano which is housed at the First United Methodist Church in Ventura, California.  Students are honored with the opportunity to perform throughout the year on this exquisite instrument.

The Pleasant Valley-Ventura County Branch complies with FTC Anti-Trust Regulations and abides by the MTAC State Code of Ethics.
